The stars aligned at the Regal LA Live in Los Angeles, CA, as the cast of “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” stepped onto the red carpet for the film’s special screening. It’s a big screen adaptation of the beloved Nintendo video game, and for the first time, two entertainment powerhouses, Illumination and Nintendo, come together to create a new, larger-than-life adventure that will take audiences on an exciting journey through the Mushroom Kingdom.

The event was a visual feast, with some of the stars of the film choosing to dress up as their on-screen characters. Chris Pratt, who voices the film’s titular character, Mario, arrived with his stunning wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, dressed in a dashing red suit that seemed to channel the spirit of the lovable plumber. Anya Taylor-Joy, who plays Princess Peach, stole the show with her all-pink leather jumpsuit, accessorized with matching gloves and boots. Meanwhile, Jack Black channeled his inner Bowser, donning a suit jacket that mimicked the villain’s iconic green and orange shell.

But it wasn’t just the main stars who were dressed to impress. Seth Rogen, who plays Donkey Kong, looked sharp in a navy suit, while Charlie Day, who voices Luigi, looked dapper in a dark green suit.

The film follows the journey of Brooklyn plumbers Mario (Chris Pratt) and Luigi (Charlie Day), who are transported down a mysterious pipe and into a magical new world. But when the brothers are separated, Mario embarks on a thrilling quest to find Luigi. Along the way, he meets Toad (Keegan-Michael Key) and gets some training from the powerful ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom, Princess Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy).

The movie is distributed by Universal Pictures and opens in the USA on April 5, 2023. Despite some criticism surrounding Chris Pratt’s casting, the film promises to be a fun-filled adventure that will delight fans of the beloved video game franchise. So grab your mushrooms and power-ups, and get ready to join the Super Mario Bros. on an epic journey that will have you jumping, sliding, and dodging obstacles with each step.
